Can you believe the first day of Fall is just right around the corner on 9/23? It's amazing how quickly time flew by, especially when Spring was only a couple of months ago. In the past 2 months, you've seen a flurry of Fall Collection releases from major brands such as Chanel, Dior, Guerlain, Lancome, MAC, etc. I'm not sure about you, but I'm all geared up and ready for Holiday 2011! There are some incredibly beautiful pieces ready to ravage our wallets come late September/October.
With that being said, naturalNchicmakeup will be on vacation or a secret adventure on some remote island filled with cosmetics. Blog posts and tweets on Twitter will be less frequent, but if I find something new and exciting, I will certainly try to share it with you as soon as possible.
What's your dream vacation? Where would you like to go?
Dior Smoky Black, Smoky Blue, and Smoky Nude 3 Couleurs Eye Palette Swatches & Review
Friday, September 9, 2011
Dior recently launched 6 new 3 Couleurs Smoky Eye Palette, with each retailing for $48USD. The compact is smaller than the original 5 Couleurs Eyeshadow Palette, and comes with a small sliding mirror. The local counter did not receive all of the testers so I was only able to play with Smoky Black, Smoky Blue, and Smoky Nude.
Taken in bright sunlight:

I came to the counter with very high expectations for these new items. In the pan, each palette contains a glittery shade, a frosty shade, and a matte shade. The glittery color was extremely eye-catching as it sparkled beautifully under incandescent lighting.

Le Metier de Beaute Fall/Winter Mini Nail Lacquer Swatches and Review
Monday, September 5, 2011
Recently, Le Metier de Beaute released a new limited edition mini nail lacquer collection called East Meet West. This collection was inspired by "jewels, spices and luxurious fabrics traveled along the Silk Road". For those who don't know what the Silk Road is, it is a network of trade routes that connects South/East/West Asia to the Mediterranean and European world.
The 4 shades are Dynasty, Silk Road, Urban Dweller, and Anatolia. I saw all 4 at the local Neiman Marcus counter but didn't realize Anatolia was in the collection. I only have swatches of the other 3 colors. Each shade retails for $10USD.
